The Orange County Child Support Office collects and remits payments, which were court ordered before January 1, 1994.  Child support orders handled by the Attorney General's Office (IVD) and private  (non IVD) child support orders after January 1, 1994 are being redirected to the Texas Child Support Disbursement Unit (SDU) in San Antonio for payment processing.  If your case is included in this redirection, you will be notified.  Otherwise, until that time, please continue to remit your payments to this office.  As your local registry, Orange County Child Support  will maintain custody of all Orange County child support payment records.

Orange County Child Support has signed a contract with the Office of the Attorney General to provide services to those who have had their case redirected to the SDU.  We will, in effect, maintenance their website for Orange County cases.  If your case is being processed by the SDU and you need assistance, simply contact this office and we will be happy to help you with change of address, obtaining payment records, payment information, tracking lost payments, etc.

For those who are paying through Orange County, payment instructions are as follows:

This office accepts cash, money orders, cashier checks, company checks, and/or personal checks.  Make your check payable to "Orange County Child Support".  The obligor's name and cause number must be on your payment.  Personal checks must be signed by the obligor only and the check must include the obligor's physical address.  We are unable to accept temporary checks.   Any payment sent without the above information will be returned.  Cash payments are accepted at 801 Division, Orange, Texas, Room 300.  Receipts are given for cash payments only.  Also, there is a $1 per month service charge due on the first payment on the month.
