Orange County Has Three Parks:  Claiborne West Park, Blue Bird Fish Camp And The Raymond Gould Walking  Park.
Claiborne West Park, 4105 North ST. Vidor, TX. 77662. Office Hours Are 7:30 A.M. to 4 P.M. Monday through Friday. Park Hours Are 7:30 A.M. to 9 P.M. Monday through Sunday. Call for Reservations.

Claiborne West Park, Located 12 Miles west of Orange, Texas, on IH 10, is a living memorial to Claiborne West, who played an important role in making Texas independent from Mexico. The park, is a wooden recreation area comprising 453 acres of land. It is a wildlife and bird sanctuary and part of The Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. Recreational facilities include a tennis court, softball field, disc golf course, horseshoe and washer court, and a mountain bike trail.

Two playgrounds, six shelters with barbecue grills-three with water, electricity, and bathrooms, and more picnic tables located among the trees, campgrounds for primitive camping. The pond is stocked with Rainbow Trout in January and February. There is an Amphitheater which is popular for weddings and band concerts. Visitors can walk the five miles of trails in the nature preserve and watch the birds and animals native to Southeast Texas. A pedestrian bridge crosses Cow Bayou, and separates the recreational areas on the west side of the Park from the Nature Preserve on the east. Bluebird Fish Camp, Simmons Drive, Orange,Texas, This consists of a boat dock, one large picnic shelter, small playground, three small picnic tables, and a fishing pier. No reservations needed.  Open 24 Hours a Day.

Raymond Gould Park is located in Vidor, there is a Community Center available by reservation only, 409-769-7297. There is a quarter mile, shaded walking track, picnic tables, and benches. No reservation needed,open 24 hours a day.
