Need Copies?

What’s Required

• We require payment and a request before copies can be sent to you.
• We accept checks and money orders for requests mailed to us.
• Copy request form can be found on our forms page.
• Due to identity theft issues, if the document you're requesting has sensitive personal information (dates of birth, Social Security Numbers, etc.) then we require your name, relationship to the person on the record and your reason for obatining a copy as well as a copy of your driver's license for proof of identification.

Birth & Death

• Fill out the application on the forms page.
• Mail in the form along with payment and a copy of your ID for identification.  Our address is on the application
• The fee for birth certificates is $23.00 per copy.
• The fee for death certificates is $21.00 for the first copy and $4.00 for each additional copy.
• We accept checks and money orders for requests mailed to us.
• The release of copies of birth and death certificates is restricted by law.  Please see our Frequently Asked Questions page regarding who can get a copy of these records.

All Other Copies

• The fee for copies (except for birth and death certificates) is $1.00 per page.  For certified copies, add $5.00 (per document) to the cost.
• The fee for copies of Civil, Probate and Criminal cases is $1.00 per page.  For certified copies, add $5.00 (per case) to the cost.

• We have many records available online.  If the record you need is available online, you may view and print your own non-certified copies at no charge here.
• You may visit the Texas Department of State Health Services web site to obtain birth, death, and verification of marriage online at this address: http://txapps.texas.gov/tolapp/ovra/
