Probate Fees

Fees Effective: January 1, 2010


When a new Probate case is filed in this office and the initial filing fee is paid, this fee covers all papers filed thereafter through the time the ORDER APPROVING INVENTORY is filed or the 90th day following the filing day of the new Probate case, whichever occurs first.  After this period, there will only be a filing fee for the papers listed below, except when filing the Inventory (LGC 118.052 & 118.056):


All papers filed in Probate matters must be 8 1/2” x 11” with the exception of wills.

General Citation to be Posted

Personal Service Issued & Returned to Attorney for Service

Small Estate (no citation issued)

Inventory, Appraisement & List of Claims

The fee for filing an Inventory is only assessed after the 90th day after the date the personal representative has qualified to serve or, if the Court grants an extension, after the date of the extended deadline specified by the Court.  (LGC 118.056)
