Job Description:
Under the direction of the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer, a Juvenile Probation Officer must be able to exercise mature and independent judgment in response to their responsibility to the Courts of Orange County, the Department, and the probationer. Supervise a caseload of mixed cases (Felony and Misdemeanor). Case supervision must be conducted in a manner consistent with standards promulgated by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and as envisioned by the Chief of the Orange County Juvenile Probation Department. Conduct pre-disposition investigations, develop written social history reports, and make disposition recommendations to the Juvenile Court. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with departmental policies and TJJD standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed to carry out the operations of the Department and the Courts.
