If it is within 90 days of your renewal date you may renew your vehicle registration online. Your new plates or sticker will be mailed to you. (This site may also be used to change your address if you move within Orange County or to another county that processes on-line renewals). 

You will need these items:

• Renewal form sent by TxDMV or license plate number and last four (4) characters of the VIN (vehicle identification number)
• Valid insurance
• Valid inspection report (VIR)
• Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover
  (There is a $2.00 service charge for the on-line registration service and a $1.00 fee for postage and handling.)

Renew your vehicle registration in person at the County Tax Office

You will need these items:

• Renewal form sent by TxDMV or license plate number and/or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
• If you are not the vehicle's registered owner, you must have a written statement of authorization referencing the vehicle from the titled owner and a photocopy of their driver's license
• Valid insurance
• Valid inspection report (VIR)
• Cash or Check in the registered owner's name (Make checks payable to:  Karen Fisher or Orange County Tax Office)
• We do not accept out of county or out of state checks
